Hello again!

Hello again! Life has been extremely busy since I wrote on this blog almost 2 years ago. Kudos to all of the teacher parents out there who juggle personal kiddos, classroom kiddos, etc. I am not quite sure how you do it. I can barely keep up with myself and 2 fur babies. My goal this school year is to document more of who am I, my why, and what I am doing in my classroom along with some fur baby updates as well.

A little about me...I am a Kindergarten teacher in Maryland who loves to play with my 2 fur babies, travel, read all the books, and create things for myself and others. I am in my fourteenth year of teaching. I have been blessed to be in the same school and grade for my entire career. You will hear me refer to my students as my kiddos. The relationships I have built with families over the years is so precious to me.

My fur babies are a huge part of my life so you will hear tons about the latest adventures of Scout (my dog) and Chocolate (my cat). They really need their own show because they are a mess. It is truly a love-hate relationship with those two. Scout is 5 year old Sheltie and has never found a ball he doesn't want to fetch. Chocolate is 12 years old and tolerates Scout on a good day. He prefers to live the eat, sleep, and cuddle with my human life while Scout wants the pet me and play fetch with me life.

So now that you know a little more about me, I hope you stick around and help keep me accountable for writing on this blog of mine. Thanks for staying on this journey with me. Over the next year, I plan to reflect on my trip to Nepal this summer, the National Amazing Shake journey, moving to the house system as a school, and the incredible bonds I have built with so many wonderful people and children along this journey of mine.
